2006 NBA Bracket
During the 2006 NBA Playoffs, each team on the Western Conference and Eastern Conference were bracketed in accordance to their regular season standings. Eight teams were picked from each conference and were bracketed below:
Eastern Conference
•1 – Detroit Pistons vs. 8 – Milwaukee Bucks
•4 – Cleveland Cavaliers vs. 5 – Washington Wizards
•3 – New Jersey Nets vs. 6 – Indiana Pacers
•2 – Miami Heat vs. 7 – Chicago Bulls
Western Conference
•1 – San Antonio Spurs vs. 8 – Sacramento Kings
•4 – Dallas Mavericks vs. 5 – Memphis Grizzlies
•3 – Denver Nuggets vs. 6 – Los Angeles Clippers
•2 – Phoenix Suns vs. 7 – Los Angeles Lakers
The Miami Heat won the championship by defeating the Dallas Maverick 4-2 in the 2006 NBA Finals series, where Dwayne Wade was named Finals MVP.
