Cavs Should Have Traded for Shaq

Around mid-season, rumors abound that Shaquille O’Neal might be out with the Phoenix Suns. The team that is luring him to join the roster was no other than Cleveland Cavaliers. But at the end of trade deadline, O’Neal remains to be in Orange uniform.

With O’Neal on the team, he can pretty much defend with every center in the league today. And that would give the Magic shooters an even tougher test. Much more, he would have made Howard work hard for every basket down low.

This year, O’Neal had another great season. Center-wise, he is probably the league’s third best behind Howard and Yao Ming. Playing with Lebron would also keep him motivated for a chance to grab his fifth ring.

If the deal happened, Shaq can now brag – I’m the reason Kobe, D-Wade, and LeBron have rings.
