Gators AAU Basketball

It was on May of 1993 that Ernest Miller founded the Toledo Sports Youth Foundation. For nearly 16 years, it he has travelled around the country to organize a summer basketball team under the theme “Education through Sports.”

By 2007, the Ohio Gators Basketball program was introduced as part of the Toledo Sports Youth Foundation. The program started with only one team with nine players, who went on to have full scholarships to play at the next level.

Today, the program have 12 teams and with over 100 student athletes in the program. They aim to provide youth with the opportunity to showcase their athletic skills before representatives of the nation’s universities and junior colleges, leading to scholarships.
