Japan’s Tabuse Seeks Another Shot in NBA
Yuta Tabuse may have been the first Japanese player to play in the NBA. He played for the Phoenix Suns during the 2004-05 season and scored 7 points in his NBA debut.
But his career was short-lived as Phoenix waived him on December 16, 2004. And this time, he is leaving the Japanese league again to try for another shot in the NBA. He was invited by the Dallas Mavericks training camp next month.
He is very happy and said, “I got the news all of a sudden and am happy I was able to get another opportunity.”
If he will be included in the roster, the Japanese NBA fans would definitely be very happy.
