As of the feat, his total score was 9,460 points in 380 regular season games. Mourning who played for the Heat once in his career has 9,459 points in 593 regular season games.

“Records are made to be broken. If anybody had to break the all-time scoring record, I wanted it to be D-Wade. I’m proud of him and I think the best is yet to come.” Mourning said.

Moreover, Mourning gave an endorsement for Wade’s MVP candidacy saying, “There is no doubt in my mind that he is the MVP of the league this year.”

Not just in scoring that he dominated but in several departments as well. He moved to eighth spot in Miami’s all-time leader in rebounds. He also moved past Glen Rice for the most steals in the franchise and is on pace with Tim Hardaway with the most assists in the franchise too.

But no matter what personal records are set, for Wade, it’s about winning most especially playoff is fast approaching.
